Kazuhiro Hidaka (Kazu) grew up on the coast of Japan in the tiny fishing village of Yakushima. Kazu grew up searching the countryside for wild seasonal foods, and learned to cook at an early age. After graduation from one of Japan's elite cooking schools, Kazu left Japan to travel the world. He spent the first two years as a chef on a tuna boat, then a year bicycling across Europe and finally crossed the Atlantic and fell in love with the United States.
After travelling the globe and training under master chefs on three continents, Kazu has settled in beautiful southern New England where he creates a fusion of flavors for all. While working as a chef in Connecticut, he developed the idea to market his salad dressing and BBQ sauce. In 2006, he launched the Krazy for Kazu's line and today, they have a product line of 9 award winning salad dressings, sauces and spreads.
Since 2006, Kazu and his wife, Junko, have poured all their energy into creating and producing the best products for their customers. Each and every bottle of Krazy for Kazu line is made in small batches and bottled by hand to ensure the highest quality product.
